I’ve begun the first day of editing. I don’t enjoy editing as much as writing. It’s a drag of going over each line and ensuring it’s just right. Every word, punctuation, sentence, and paragraph has to be just right. Thankfully, I’ve purchased a new editing software that’ll take the place of finding a costly editor. Editors cost a lot, and honestly, I don’t blame them for charging so much. It’s so tedious. But I’m hoping ProWritingAid will take that job. So far, it’s catching a lot more than what I would have picked up. The only thing I don’t like is it like slang. We’ll see what the next few days bring forth.
Finally! Finished the first draft of [the quiet]. Still have to work on the Easter egg, but that will come later. Now, to edit, edit, edit…
Looks like we’ve finally been introduced to some of our main antagonists in [the quiet]. Things are about to get bloody from here on. Think I’ll combine two chapters into one.
Finally was able to write and edit another chapter of [the quiet]. Not quite as gory as I would’ve liked, but I’m sure it’ll make some people’s skins squirm. All I can say is that he got what he deserved. Two more chapters left!
Here’s another podcast interview I did regarding my stroke, amputation , and becoming a full-time author. Hope you’ll enjoy and remember: you can do anything! #dfyspodcast
Hello, fans and friends. I apologize for not keeping y’all up to date. Unfortunately, I’ve had some medical issues to deal with that have kept from doing much of anything. I even went to the hospital. Thankfully, it seems I’m going over them. I’ll be back, though.
Check out my interview with Ronit Plank on the podcast And Then Everything Changed where I discuss my first forays into writing, how I survived a massive stroke amongst other things, and I got back into writing.
Here is my interview on the podcast Living the Dream With Curveball where I talk about how I got into reading and writing, how I dealt with life after my stroke, and my two books. Check it out!
This Friday, February 12th, I’ll get interviewed on Living The Dream with Curveball as I discuss how I got into writing, my books, and how I dealt with my stroke.
Chapter 18 written and edited. Only 4 more chapters to go, and hopefully, these should move along. Once [the quiet] is finally written, I’ll be looking for beta readers. Stay posted for more details!
I didn’t realize this novel was going to turn into a science research project. Had to learn how lasers work and do a refresher on the Copenhagen interpretation of light particles. Aside from killing off a couple of characters, this has been the best part of this novel.
Raul Escobar is third in command on the Dunfrey ranch and is a key translator between the English-speaking Dunfreys and the Spanish-speaking ranch hands. He’s about to make a key decision in [the quiet].
We’ve reached a key point in [the quiet]. What is Looking Glass?
I was finally able to finish Chapter 15. Writing’s been a little difficult for me as I’ve been pulled in a few different directions lately. But, here it is, written and edited. So, our gang has had some new additions, and everyone is a bit tense. This chap is leading our new group. Will he have some answers? Wait and see!
Finished writing and editing Chapter 14 of [the quiet]. Mike Dunfrey is really trying to keep it together on the ranch. It’s a shame he has no idea what’s going to happen. Also, is there going to be a chapter where Rayne doesn’t get yelled at?
Edited Chapter 13 early this morning (3am) and got Chapter 14 to a good start. About 2/3 done with the first draft of [the quiet]. Almost there! I feel as crazy as Rayne’s hair this morning!
We finally get a look at ol’ Tomás in action. Boy, is he one raggedy-looking, beat up cat! He learns the secret of [the quiet] in chapter 13. Wait, isn’t 13 an unlucky number? Time to edit in a couple of days. Almost there!
“Parry” Ten Bears has found an important link in his conversation with Coyote and his special “tea” in chapter 12. [the quiet] is going to be especially important for the future. You will definitely need to read this one!
Whoa! Even after a late start, I finished one whole chapter today! Chapter 11 written, now awaiting to be edited! And who is the Smiling Man?
Chapter 10 of [the quiet] is officially in the books. The first (well, second and third, really) casualty of the book is down. Pedro just should’ve let the chickens fly the coop. What’s with that shape anyway? Oh well; Pedro’s mom found that they “all float down here”.
