They say not to judge a book by its cover but I need you to do just that. If you liked the cover of my book, Parachute Island, please vote for it for the Cover of the Month contest on AllAuthor.com! I’m getting closer to clinch the “Cover of the Month” contest on AllAuthor! I’dContinue reading “Please Vote!”
There’s been a lot of interest generated about The Valiants and Parachute Island lately it seems. That’s great! I’m glad to hear that. As an author, I want to provide stories that will help you drift off for a few hours. First, if I may ask, please leave a review, whether it’s good, bad, orContinue reading “Interactions”
…is never done. No matter the number of courses taken or workshops sat in, just like an athlete, the writer has to keep one particular muscle fit and toned. Today, I spent the day sorting through my emotions, going over my five (and 6th!) senses, and learning how to tighten even tighter my sentence belly.Continue reading “A Writer’s Work…”
Got bored early this morning (3 am) and decided to make some music. It’s a little piece I call What If? I’m thinking of making some to accompany stuff so I’ll probably make more down the line. Enjoy!
As a reader, I’ve come across and read all types of fiction. I love getting lost in a book for a few hours. Whether it be horror or classic literature, science fiction or gritty crime, there’s nothing like getting away from the real world. As a writer, I love providing stories that will take you,Continue reading “Fiction: What’s Your Poison?”
That’s right, the menu for The Valiants is finally here, with the mockup, description, and trailer. There’s also a link so you can pre-order your e-book copy before it goes up to its regular price. You can click on the poster on the home page or just click here.
Wow! Ecstatic to see a lot of people dropping in and visiting the site. Hoping they’ll check out Parachute Island, which, I think, is something the world needs right now. In a few days, The Valiants teaser trailer will be released! You can also pre-order the e-book, which is set to be released November 9thContinue reading “Surprises”
Here it is, the cover reveal for my second novel, The Valiants, as a moving poster!
Well, after the third revision, I’ve begun to send The Valiants off to some of my ARC team. I’m also waiting for the book cover. I should, hopefully, get the cover back by Monday. Once I do, I can look at getting a teaser trailer made, as well as the pre-order set. Other than promotingContinue reading “Quiet Time”
I’m still editing The Valiants, though I’m close to finishing my revisions before looking for people for an ARC. Once I’m done editing and while letting the ARC team read and provide feedback, I’m going to start a new site (hinted above) called Indie 2 Indie: 12 Questions For An Indie Author. Paying some tribute while I edit. One-fourth done on the second revision! Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
The first revision of The Valiants is now complete. I’ll be going through several revisions before I feel comfortable enough for put people together for an ARC. So far, it’s approximately 114,000 words long, easily of an epic length. Also working on the book blurb and description, so that’ll be coming soon as well.
Finally! Yes folks, just finished the first draft of The Valiants! Wasn’t a long an ending as I thought it might be, nor as short. I’m ok with it, though. Some heroes went home, some didn’t. Either way, here’s song #31 of 31, Your Wildest Dreams by The Moody Blues.
A (maybe!) penultimate song to my soundtrack to The Valiants. A fight with the antagonist set to O, Fortuna from Carmines Burana by Carl Orff. This is an exceptional piece for a final piece. Enjoy!
One down, time to go through some enemies in super-action mode to get to the final boss… it’s song #29 of 31, Bullets by Creed. Enjoy!
Song #28 of 31: I’ve been waiting to write this scene, particularly this character who finally his appearance. This should be fun… It’s The Battle In The Snow from The Empire Strikes Back soundtrack by John Williams.
As some of you might be aware, I put together a “soundtrack” of songs or pieces of music that represent certain scenes or characters from the novel I currently am writing. I had already started writing and put together the soundtrack for The Valiants, but here is song #27 from the soundtrack: Immigrant Song byContinue reading “Immigrant Song”
As a newbie indie author who’s an introvert but also run a website/blog, wondering… what sort of things do you want to read/see about your favorite indie author? What sort of things should they post? Let me know in the comments…
There’s a man with dementia at my dialysis clinic (we’ll call him J) who comes from a nursing home. Most times he doesn’t know where he’s at. My clinic is not allowing anyone to eat because of the virus. Today, he constantly says, “I want my bag of sandwich.” Even though they’ve told him heContinue reading “J”
